On September 28, 2015, SunRail announced the funding of the $93 million in Federal funds to complete the 17-mile phase 2 south segment of the SunRail line.
This segment will expand the line from Sand Lake Road in Orange County to Poinciana in Osceola County, including the “Tupperware Station” situated on the eastern edge of the Deerfield Land Corporation’s development project.
It is expected that this approval will now lead to rapid development of Deerfield’s transportation-oriented development properties, comprising 150 acres in both Orange and Osceola Counties.
