TUPPERWARE BRANDS CORPORATION (NYSE: TUP) today announced that it has secured tenants for its latest retail development, in partnership with O’Connor Capital Partners. The project will include over 100,000 square feet of retail development and will be located in the 800 block of West Osceola Parkway in northern Osceola County, Florida. The leasing tenants will be: the award-winning 4 Rivers Smokehouse, 24-Hour Fitness and Burlington Coat Factory, and will complement the partners’ adjacent Crosslands shopping center, which opened in November 2014. The partners expect to break ground in October with an expected opening date by May 2016.
These retail projects are part of a 500-acre tract surrounding Tupperware Brands’ worldwide headquarters that has been in development over the last 12 years, including retail, office, multi-family residential and hotel uses. The eastern part of the project will include a SunRail station, to be named the Tupperware Station, as phase II of the commuter rail line is implemented by 2017. Federal funding for phase II was announced on September 28th by the Department of Transportation.
